Five Gables Estate

An estate landscape built almost entirely in reclaimed stone. Antique limestone paving surrounds the pool and its coping, dry-stack walls terrace the slope, and weathered stone steps and stepping stones thread the gardens between the main house, the stone pool house, and a spring-fed pond. Lit at dusk, the walls and steps read as though they had been settling into the hillside for a century.
